General

The protection of your personal data is important to us. This website processes personal data only to the extent technically necessary and in accordance with applicable data protection laws, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

This website does not use tracking cookies, profiling, or personalized advertising.

Hosting

This website is hosted by STRATO AG, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. As a data processor, Strato processes connection data generated during your visit (e.g. IP address, time of access) as part of providing the server infrastructure. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the reliable provision of the website).

Server Log Files

When visiting this website, information is automatically collected by the web server (e.g. browser type, operating system, referrer URL, time of access). This data cannot be assigned to specific individuals and is not merged with other data sources. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the technical provision and security of the website). Server log files are automatically deleted after 30 days.

Cookieless Usage Statistics

We collect anonymous, cookieless usage statistics (e.g. pageviews, referrers, device type, language version). IP addresses are stored exclusively as irreversible SHA-256 hashes; the plaintext IP is never persisted. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in anonymous audience measurement). Statistics data is automatically deleted after 30 days.

Contact by Email

If you contact us by email, the transmitted data (email address, message content) will be used exclusively to process your request and will not be passed on to third parties. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to inquiries). Email correspondence is deleted once the inquiry has been fully resolved.

Affiliate Links (Amazon EU Associates Program)

This website contains affiliate links to the Amazon EU Associates Program. When you click on such a link, you will be redirected to Amazon. Amazon may set cookies and process personal data (e.g. IP address, purchase behaviour) in this context. We have no influence over this processing by Amazon. For details, please refer to Amazon's privacy policy.

Rate Limiting

To protect against abusive use of our API endpoints, we employ rate limiting that temporarily stores hashed IP addresses (SHA-256) on the file system. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in protecting the infrastructure). This data is automatically deleted after a few minutes.

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)

  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
