Smell

From the first whiff, Lindores unfolds a remarkably fruity freshness. The bright fruitiness is reminiscent of juicy pears and slightly tart stewed apples. There are also classic notes of vanilla and caramel, which are reminiscent of the bourbon barrel and bring a pleasant sweetness. A subtle hint of honey and a slight floral nuance - almost like a greenhouse fragrance - lend additional depth. A hint of citrus fruit rounds off the nose and provides an invigorating touch that makes you want to take your first sip.

Taste

On the palate, the single malt surprises with a striking change. While the nose tends to emphasise lighter fruit notes, darker and spicier flavours dominate here. Cinnamon and a slight salty note come to the fore, followed by deep caramel tones and the sweetness of dark fruits reminiscent of dried berries or plums. A light spiciness and a hint of metallic round off the profile and hint at the youthful freshness of the distillery. A creamy texture, reminiscent of soft gummy bears, gives the whisky a slightly playful, interesting mouthfeel.

Finish

The finish is of medium length, with a subtle sharpness and a slight tingle on the tongue. The malty notes linger here in particular and leave a pleasant warmth that quickly fades.
